Re: New Zealand Music
Mmm a lot of NZ music sucks, but then there's also a few bands which are amazing. I don't like most of the NZ music that gets played on the radio/TV (with Goodnight Nurse and False Start being the exceptions), but there's heaps of really good smaller bands.

Re: New Zealand Music
When I first got o NZ Iwas like "All this music blows! I want Westlife!"
Then heard Verona by Elemeno P and was like "Hmmph fine. I'll check them out." and I did. Thought they were rad.
Then got GNN's forst album for my birthday.
So Goodnight Nurse, Elemeno P and Opshop... and that's about it.

I've seen Evermore twice live. Neither time was all that exciting.

Re: New Zealand Music
I can't stand Streetwise Scarlett, but I do love Steriogram, the Mint Chicks, Goodshirt (were they from NZ?)... and there's this other NZ band I can't think of at the moment, but they're awesome too.
So I just went and found my tape (omg a tape!) of Zed's album 'This Little Empire'. Crappy quality, but wow I just remembered how absolutely awesome they are!
I remember my favourite song of theirs used to be Firefly. And I remember when I saw them live there was this big screen thing behind them (like at Panic) and it looked awesome when they played that song. Actually, I think my dad has that on video somewhere. Hmm... I'll ask him where it is tomorrow.
