Re: Fall Out Boy
MySpace Secret Shows is pleased to present a special all ages MySpace Secret Show on the 23rd February in Auckland!
Fall Out Boy have already performed for fans at two MySpace Secret Shows in the USA and Australia. Now the band are treating a few lucky New Zealand MySpace users to an exclusive and intimate performance at the sound check to their Vector Arena show on the 23rd February.
For your chance to attend the exclusive soundcheck performance with Fall Out Boy you need to collect a wristband from Real Groovy Records at 438 Queen St in Auckland at 9am on Monday 23rd February. Entry to the sound check performance is STRICTLY limited. Please note there are only 30 lucky people who will be able to attend the soundcheck show. Collection of wristbands is on a first come first served basis and only one wristband per person will be given out. The wristband is only valid for the soundcheck show not the evening performance at Vector Arena.
Fall Out Boy play Auckland’s Vector Arena on the 23rd February with support from the All American Rejects and Hey Monday.

Re: Fall Out Boy
awesome!
I saw Rory from A Kiss Goodbye. My friend will be jealous.
The concert was amazing.
I got there at about 6:10pm, joined the line, which wasn't that long at the time, but rapidly growing.
While I was in the line I talked to the girls infront of me, who were pretty awesome, some of them had been at Panic, and they were amazed by my t-shirt (the hypercolour one).
At what must've been about 7-7:30pm, the doors were opened. It took a while to get in though, 'cause once they'd let us in, we had to wait in the foyer as they put yellow wristbands on everyone.
Once I got in, there were about 4-5 rows of people already at the front, and more people further back just sitting on the ground. I joined the crowd at the front, and waited.
During Hey Monday I was behind two girls who were heaps shorter than me, and who's hair kept getting in my face. They were waving to Cassadee and throwing glowsticks, and she waved and gave them a thumbs up.
I didn't think Hey Monday were that great, they were average. Not a band I'd pay to see live again. And they shouldn't have left 'Homecoming' til last.
Oh, and Pete came on during one of the songs to sing, and all of FOB came on at the end of HM's set with brooms, and were sweeping up the stage. (end of tour prank kinda thing, I think)
In between HM and AAR, I pushed my Way forward, and got about a metre/2-3 people from the barrier. But when AAR started and I still hadn't got to barrier, I decided to move back a bit, because I remembered at MCR when I'd been in that position I had Way more fun once I'd moved back, you get to enjoy the band more and not get pushed around so much.
So, AAR were really really awesome. The played [not in order] Swing Swing, Dirty Little Secret, Mona Lisa (When The World Comes Down), Move Along, I Wanna, Gives You Hell, and maybe Believe and Real World, I'm not sure.
My favourites were probably Move Along, Dirty Little Secret, and Gives You Hell, because of the energy and awesomeness, and Mona Lisa (When The World Comes Down) because it was just amazing.
and I will write about FOB when I get home, because I have to go to school now.

Re: Fall Out Boy
ahh it was awesome!!
well ill leave all the details to rebecca. but, i got there at like 5.30 and was in the third row of the barrier things, so there were quite a few people behind us. i met these girls from christchurch who firstly won tickets to come see fob and then won the thing on the edge to play laser tag with hey monday. which is pretty lucky.
for hey monday and all-american rejects i was third from the front near the middle on the right side. it was so pushy and i was with a short friend so i felt bad for her. i thought the guys from HM seemed really into themselves, but they were still pretty cool. but AAR were awesome. is it just me, or did the lead singer sing with a really high voice- it seemed fake almost??
yeah and then for fall out boy we decided to move back and got stuck behind some idiot guy who was a huge basketball player and he kept lifting his girlfriend up and stumbling around, so i kept elbowing him in the back. finally, we escaped him though and then i managed to enjoy the rest of the show in a reasonable amount of space. i didnt know a few of the fob songs but it was really fun. i loved the bit where pete talked about gabe! ha. cant really remember what he said but something about how he could have the purple. but it didnt matter because purple is over anyway.
yeah, i had a really good time
