Hmm, did you have to use an instrumental version. I'm just trying to remember the talent show my school had a couple of years ago, I think they just sung over the original artist's vocals.

I mean, if your mike was loud enough... nah I have no idea. Sorry, I'm a crap in the whole advice-giving, wisdom kinda thing. =/

But seriously, you have to have a go next time. Instrument accompaniment or not, I'll bet you'll be fantastic.

I showed my friend who loves all time low. She liked it too.

My mom doesn't like my voice. Every time she hears me sing, she's all "well, parts if it weren't that bad, I guess."

We can't afford them. I wanted to take lessons for an instrument as well, but we can't afford anything.

Ugh I know that feeling. I've just had to give up flute lessons because we can't afford that any more. >.<

Lessons will be super helpful because it'll give you the opportunity to learn more techniques such as breathing and support. Are you in any choirs?

Does your school provide something like group lessons? Usually much cheaper than private

And yeah, they would be helpful. I'm in my school's advanced choir, and I was in All-County Choir last year (best singers in the county).

And no, my school doesn't provide anything like that. Our choir teacher (aka my favorite teacher in the world) is reeeeally busy already.

I loved the wall of text. It made me happy...in my pants.

I auditioned for my school's talent show on Wednesday. If I get in, I'll be so excited. First place is $100, second place is $50, and third place is $25.

The people who listened to my audition said I did an amazing job. I'm really happy. They also said I did better than Garrett, which is pretty damn awesome.

I sang "Thinking of You" by Katy Perry. That's the song I'll do if I make it in.

Garrett (shiny hair guy from that one time) didn't get in, and I felt so validated. The judges (aka my friends) secretly told me that I did way better than him and that he sucked. But, of course, someone dropped out, and now he's in it. I have to beat him. I don't expect to win, but I have to do better than him.

It's the day after tomorrow!

Well, Garrett tied for first, and I didn't even place. And my family/friends felt no need to tell me I did well. My sister was like "You sounded like you were trying to sing high or something" and that's all anyone actually said about my performance.

I feel like crying.
