Good old false start... heres a blog from Andrew...

Hey everyone,
Andrew here just thought I would write a little about some of the meanings behind the songs on the new album. We spent our whole summer recording the album and its awesome that you guys can finally hear it!
If you could all go and get a copy next week when it is out we would really appreciate it! The booklet is fat as and full of all the lyrics and stuff so check it out!
I COME FROM A PLACE - This is a song about how so many people want to be 'famous' Theres so many bands out there that want to make it and heaps of them are just doing it for the wrong reasons. I wrote this song being pissed off at how many people I see around me who play in bands but its not their lives, the use music to get what they think they want. They are doing it for the wrong reasons. It doesnt matter what kind of music you are playing if you are not in it 100% then maybe you shouldnt be doing it. Music is our lives, this band is our lives and this band saved my life.
VEINS - For me this is a song about being young and those times when you dig someone but you just want to party, and you arnt ready to commit to anything. Although I am in a commited relationship and very much in love and have been for a long time I wrote this song looking at my friends around me and their experiences.
PUT YOUR HANDS UP - This is a song about taking on the world, not letting anyone bring you down and staying strong and true to what you feel and believe. Not letting anyone tell you what you should do or how to be.
FOUR LETTER LIE - This is a song about deception and love.
HOME IS A HEARTBEAT AWAY - I wrote this song for those of you who feel like you dont belong in this world, ive felt the same Way my whole life. This song is for all of you.
NEVER LET YOU DOWN - I wrote this song with the fans in mind and also my friends, its about how we are always there for you guys and as friends in this band we are always there for each other.
GET YOUR FEELINGS OUT- This is a song about all the people and bands in New Zealand who talk shit on me and our band. The more you talk shit the more we accomplish so keep running your mouths cause it only makes us work harder bitches!
COMMOTION - a love song....
NO US IN LUST - in my opinion sex should be about love not lust. People can do whatever they want and this song isnt meant to judge anyone its just about what I see around me. Its not an anti sex song its not an anti anything song. Just listen to the lyrics and make up your own mind.
WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE - when we went into the studio I didnt have any lyrics for this song, during the recording of the album alot of things happened in regards to the band and the lineup this song is about the situation at the time. Its not a dig at anyone but more my perspective at what was going on at the time.
I WILL NEVER FORGET - a song for those who have passed in memory of them. Vaughn and Dave wrote the lyrics for this song.
MEMORIES - one of the first songs we wrote for this album, written over a year ago. Another song about those people and bands that talk shit on us. The things these people say has only made us work harder and reach our goals. While we keep moving up you keep running your mouths.
CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT - this is the only song that I have ever written in relation to my personal beliefs and faith. I also wrote this song about how all of us who dont belong in this world and are unlike everyone else are the children of the night. Ive never felt like I belonged I never understood most the people in this world. Music always spoke to me in amazing ways this song is about us being the children of the night.
So there you go some brief descriptions I hope that you all find your own meanings in the songs also.
